Fiber Works
2023 - Present

Working with fiber craft techniques, I create works that examine the visual culture of beach tourism and its function as a prop towards capitalism. Working collaboratively with printmaking on fabric and printing on soft industrial materials used in the signage industry, the patchworking in these pieces speak to relationship between novelty commerce and acts of care. I’m particularly compelled to respond to the tourism industry reliance on appropraition and politicized humor.
