06: Advocacy: Examinations from Capitals to Memorials, 2025. Laser cut and painted wood, quilted DTF vinyl transfers, sandblasted quartz countertop samples, glass vessels (decorated and cold worked), powder print on glass, sand, rings, crystals, photocopy with graphite, and a sandblasted used iPhone. 07: A Red Flag in a Field, 2025. Screen print, acrylic, collage, and varnish on dibond, sewn flag with binder clips. 48” by 40”
08: Built By Popular Demand, 2024. Exhibition view and installation at Temple Contemporary, located at Tyler School of Art + Architecture, Temple University.
09: Built by Popular Demand, 2024. Latex print on vinyl, spray painted die-cut corrugated plastic, garden stakes, glue, zip ties, Home Depot and Lowes buckets, synthetic and dying plants, concrete, colored paint, screen printed foam board, screen printed wood, quilted moving blankets with adhesive vinyl, bleached fabric, blown glass vessels, and lighting systems. 15ft by 10ft by 13ft (tall)
10: Expanding the Network, 2024. Screen print on pink insulation foam, found map, blown glass, flameworked borosilicate glass, saw horses, dead palm frond. 96” by 35” by 29”

Fall 2025: 2D Design + Color Theory (Foundations Level Course)
Assignment: Working Narratively - Designing a Comic
Students were asked to create a 12 page comic, using inspiration from Scott McCloud’s Understanding Comics to learn how narrative and gestalt theory are tied together.

Fall 2025: 2D Design + Color Theory (Foundations Level Course)
Assignment: Color Theory and Relationality - Designing a Sashiko Embroidery Sample
Students began this project with creating a color star and a 12” by 12” sample of a repeat pattern out of acrylic paint. They then executed their pattern using a sashiko embroidery stitch. During critique, students presented an elevator pitch attempting to “sell” the pattern, bridging formal properties to aesthetic design.

Spring 2026: Techniques in Abstraction (Intermediate Painting+Drawing Course)
Assignment: Destabilization, Material, Queer Abstraction
Students were tasked with making a work of art using an unconventional painting medium. Students were encouraged how their piece falls under a queer or material abstraction lens.

Spring 2026: 2D Design + Color Theory (Foundations Level Course)
Assignment: Designing an Adjective - Activating the Picture Plane
Students were asked to pull a descriptor word from a jar. Using positive/negative space, gestalt, and dynamic compositions, students then used that work as inspiration to embody the adjective abstractly.

Assignment: Transformation
Students were asked to create to-scale cardboard replicas of a personal object, and were tasked with conceptually skinning the sculpture to transform the object.

Students were asked to create a drawing from a photograph, using a value scale they created from straight lines and cut newspaper.

Students were asked to create a 24 page zine on a topic of their choosing, considering how self-publishing could communicate their ideas.

Assignment: Cultivating a Collection - Button Maker Project
Students were asked to create a series of (6) buttons using skills in Adobe Illustrator to design them. Students were asked to find a substrate to pin them onto it to develop deeper meaning.

Students were asked to create a print incorporating 6 layers for their final. The piece had to be inspired by an item in the university special collections.
